Our Story
Sparks flew in Yosemite during the spring of 1984. Michael's eyes captured Rhonda's across a crowded room. Over glasses of wine, conversation turned into connection and a lifelong relationship ensued.
Their first home in Fremont overlooked Weibel Vineyards, where dreams of owning a vineyard first took root. They purchased Crane Ridge Vineyards in Livermore Valley — 14 acres of vines renamed One Oak Vineyard — and built their dream home. Wood Family Vineyards officially opened in 2000.
Today, Rhonda heads winemaking, Michael manages finances, Harrison serves as Executive VP, and youngest son Parker works as Tasting Room Ambassador. At its heart, Wood Family Vineyards is about more than wine — it's about family, friends, and celebrating life.
