2015 “Woody’s Red”
Dark cherry red, the wine appears lithe in the glass. Ripe, fresh blueberry mingled with Santa Rosa plum provides the first hit of fruit. Then, the cab franc emerges: earthy black olives and rich soil punctuated with just a hint piquant green pepper. The palate adds cranberry to the blueberry fruit, and black pepper tingles on your tongue. The tannins are silky and the acids are soft yet present. The finish is long and the fruit becomes leathery as it mixes with the toast of the oak.
