2016 Zinfandel, “Muy Bueno”  
Livermore Valley

The grapes were harvested from two different Zinfandel vineyards in the Livermore Valley.  47% Mendocino Clone and 34% Rockpile Clone both from the Collier Canyon Vineyard (above Las Positas College) 17% Eagle Ranch Vineyard located in the Eastern foothills and blended with 2% late harvest Zinfandel.   

Transparent purple, this wine has a lithe appearance. The aromas are bright and fresh. Freshly picked raspberries filling a bucket with the leaves still attached and warmed by the sun. A touch of sweetness from a fresh strawberry glacé pie intermingled with Mexican vanilla and sprinkled with black pepper. The wine is off-dry as the flavors continue with raspberry and strawberry. Added to the fruit flavors is a pretty white flower note. The wine is smooth, smooth, smooth. Velvety in texture, soft in acid, and balanced in alcohol. This finish is raspberry fruit leather.

4.0 pH .61, 1% rs.  Aged in 100% American Oak .
