Sourcing fruit from 17 different vineyards all in the Livermore Valley makes it exciting for Rhonda and Michael. They purchase fruit from different growers and are able to have vineyards farmed to their specification.
Livermore Valley is in the San Francisco Bay appellation, 30 miles east of San Francisco and planted to more than 5000 acres of vineyards. T base elevation begins at around 400 ft mean sea level and extends up to 900 ft where grapes are planted in gravelly soils. The valley is one of the few East West valleys in California. The valley receives the cooling breeze from the bay during the day and the coastal fog rolls in during the night which usually disappears by 9 or 10 in the morning. It makes for some chilly evenings and for some very happy grapes!
